Programme Introduction
Thailand has undergone two changes of government since former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra was deposed in a coup led by Thailand's then Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army in September 2006. Despite the political instability (including the insurgency in Southern Thailand), business opportunities abound in Thailand.
- Which industries offer the best business/investment opportunities for Singapore's SMEs?
- What are the laws and regulations governing investments in Thailand?
- Are there special regions that companies may invest in and what are the policies governing investments in these regions?
- What business etiquette would they have to observe when doing business there?
This seminar seeks to provide a good overview of Thailand and investment opportunities that SMEs might want to consider. In addition, participants will be shown how and where they can obtain information from a wide range of resources available from EBIS and the Internet.
